Girl Scouts of Central Illinois

http://www.girlscouts-gsci.org/

Three students may sign up to work with the Girl Scouts.

This semester the work with the Girl Scouts will consist of the following work:

1.  Translating materials.  Ms. Sykes will give you the information to translate, and you will work on your own time and at your own place to translate.  You must be organized and professional about this part of the work--you cannot procrastinate.  Translating is not easy; you must check your work many times and in many ways to be sure that you are producing something of good quality.  On the other hand, if you do this project well, it is wonderful experience and something that you can definitely tout as you speak to future employers.  You will log all your translation hours on this wiki.

2.  There are three scheduled Girl Scout meetings with girls at Booker T. Washington School in Champaign: Februrary 26, March 5 and March 12.  For each of these meetings, you must be available from 3-5:30.  From 3-4 you will meet with Ms. Sykes to prepare the activities.  From 4-5 you will meet with the Girl Scouts.  From 5 to about 5:30 you will help clean up.

3.  There may be at least one more meeting with the Girl Scouts at BTW.

OJO: Males can sign up to work with the Girl Scouts, but at least one of the three students must be a female.

When you sign up here, print and fill out these two forms: /arabbott/www/GSCI volunteer application.doc and /arabbott/www/GSCI volunteer disclosure.doc

You´ll receive information about what your next step is.

Thank you!
