Orientation

Special instructions for Tuesday, January 27.

SPAN 232 and SPAN 332 will not meet in class on Tuesday, January 27.

Instead, if you are working at places 1, 2 or 3 in the list below, you will go to your community partner for an orientation at the time you would normally have gone to class.

If you are working at one of the other places, you do not have an orientation.  Do not go to your community partner during class time on Tuesday, January 27.  Follow the instructions below, instead.

1. ECIRMAC.  Go to ECIRMAC instead of going to class.  You should arrive a little past the hour and leave in time to make it to your next class.

2. BTW (during the regular school day, NOT the after school program).  Please follow Ms. Noyes instructions:

10 a.m. --  meet in Booker T. Washington cafeteria

11 a.m. --  meet in the conference room of the Douglass Branch of the Champaign Library

12 p.m. --  meet in the conference room of the Douglass Branch of the Champaign Library

1 p.m.   --  meet in the Booker T. Washington cafeteria

Our school lunch schedule necessitates our meeting at the Douglass Branch of the Champaign Library for the 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. orientation sessions.  I will, however, bring the Spanish 232 students over to Booker T. Washington for a tour following the paperwork session of the orientation.  The Douglass Branch of the Champaign Library is on the same block as B.T. Washington and parking will be available there.  The librarians just request that we not use the circular drive which is designated for the senior center housed in the library.

3. Leal School. Go to Leal School instead of going to class.  Ask for Ms. Jane Cain.  You should arrive a little past the hour and leave in time to make it to your next class.

Other Orientation Information:

A Woman's Place.  Ms. Fryer will contact you with instructions.

Girl Scouts.  Follow the instructions that Ms. Sykes has already sent you.

S.O.A.R.  You should have already received this information from Ms. Moore.

You will have orientation/training sessions scheduled next week at Booker T. Washington. Our orientation/trainings are held separately from those scheduled for the tutors during the school day.  You only need to attend the after-school orientation sessions, not the ones scheduled during the day next week at BTW. The SOAR tutors should attend the orientation/training session next week from 3:00-5:00 (normal tutoring time) on the day that they plan to tutor.  For example, if they signed up to tutor on Tuesdays, they should attend the tutor orientation/training session next Tuesday (Jan. 27) from 3-5 at B.T. Washington.  If they signed up for Wednesdays, they should attend next Wed. (Jan. 28) from 3-5, etc.

Central High School.  There is no orientation.  Once your background check has cleared, you can go at your scheduled time.  Ask for Ms. Citraro's ESL class.

Clases de catequesis.  Please make arrangements with Ms. Seufferheld and get started as soon as possible.

Boy Scouts.  Please make arrangements with Mr. Corrales and get started as soon as possible.

CCRS. There is no group orientation.  Go this week at the time you scheduled on the wiki.
